Basseterre, St. Kitts (PMO) — Prime Minister Hon. Dr Terrance Drew has publicly expressed heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Financial Secretary Mrs Hilary Hazel for her years of exceptional service to the nation.
During his parliamentary remarks today, October 31st, the Prime Minister said, “I want to thank our new Financial Secretary, Mr Carlton Pogson. But I also want to thank our immediate past Financial Secretary, Mrs Hilary Hazel. She worked hard, contributed to national development, and therefore, I want to thank her for all that she has done in the Ministry of Finance to continue the development of Saint Kitts and Nevis.”
Mrs Hazel served with distinction under multiple administrations and was instrumental in strengthening the Ministry’s fiscal management framework. The Prime Minister noted that her leadership and institutional knowledge helped guide the country’s financial systems through challenging global and regional conditions.
Dr Drew emphasised that her contributions will be remembered as part of the broader story of national development, underscoring his government’s commitment to recognising those who serve with integrity and dedication.
