The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is pleased to announce that twenty-seven (27) officers have completed specialised training on the Child Justice Act. The training was delivered by the National Intervention Team (NIT) in partnership with the Department of Probation and Child Protection Services, with strong support from the Police High Command.
During the sessions, officers engaged in both group and individual scenario-based exercises, applying key principles of the Act to practical, real-world situations to strengthen their understanding and decision-making. Participants also received hands-on instruction in accurately completing all required forms under the Act—ensuring proper documentation, consistency, and legal compliance.
Officers provided valuable recommendations on enhancing the Act’s implementation within their respective units and in the wider community.
The National Intervention Team remains committed to building strategic partnerships and providing continuous training that enhances community policing efforts and promotes positive outcomes for children and families across the Federation.
