The accumulation of licence stickers on a vehicle’s windscreen, as depicted in the photographs below, presents a potential safety risk to drivers. Multiple stickers can create a visual obstruction, particularly when scanning for pedestrians, cyclists, or vehicles approaching from the left, or when navigating intersections. The driver’s field of vision often extends across this area during routine situational checks, and any obstruction may impair the timely detection of hazards.
Additionally, the presence of several stickers can make it difficult for law enforcement officers to quickly verify valid licences. This may complicate identification and lead to delays or errors during roadside inspections.
Drivers are therefore advised to remove excess stickers from their windscreen. As a general standard, only the current licence sticker should be displayed at any given time.
