Netball: Coca-Cola Shamrocks Prevail Over Bath United

The Federal Netball Tournament continued on Saturday, May 23, at the Grell Hull-Stevens Netball Complex.

The scheduled opening match between the Under-16 team and Phoenix Ballers did not take place, as the Phoenix team failed to appear.

However, the feature game between Bath United and Coca-Cola Shamrocks delivered an exciting contest for the sizeable crowd.

Shamrocks dominated the first quarter and appeared to be on course for a comfortable victory, leading 16–8 at the end of the period. Bath United, however, responded strongly in the second quarter, displaying renewed energy and control to level the scores at 21–21 by halftime.

Refusing to relent, Coca-Cola Shamrocks regrouped and gradually reasserted their dominance in the second half, steadily extending their lead.

At the final whistle, despite a determined effort from the home side, Coca-Cola Shamrocks secured a 42–32 victory over Bath United.

The semi-finals were scheduled to be played in St. Kitts on Sunday evening, with the finals set for Saturday, May 30, at the Grell Hull-Stevens Netball Complex, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
