Minister of Tourism and International Transport, the Honourable Marsha Henderson, highlighted the importance of the tourism sector during a press conference held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
“Tourism continues to stand as one of the strongest pillars of our economy and remains a vital driver of growth, community engagement, job creation, and national transformation,” said Minister Henderson.
She added that the government measures the success of tourism not only by visitor arrivals, but by the “meaningful and lasting impact the industry has on the lives and livelihoods of our people.”
Saint Kitts and Nevis has a strong track record at the World Travel Awards, having previously secured several regional titles, including Caribbean’s Leading Dive Destination (2022), Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board (2012 and 2013), and World’s Leading Island Destination (2008).
These latest nominations further reinforce the Federation’s reputation as a leading destination in the Caribbean tourism market.
