BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – The St. Kitts Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (SKUDC) said Friday it is aware of a social media post alleging a serious incident involving a security guard at Port Zante.

However, it categorically stated that after a thorough review, “we confirm that no SKUDC security officers were involved in the alleged incident and no reports, complaints, or accusations referencing SKUDC personnel have been filed with our Corporation or by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force regarding any of our officers.”

In its statement, the SKUDC said: “We respect the gravity of sexual assault allegations and urge anyone with information to contact the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to ensure a full, impartial investigation. We trust authorities to conduct this process with urgency and integrity.”

The SKUDC also “extend our deepest concern to all individuals impacted by such traumatic events and stands firmly against sexual violence or violence in any form.”
