After the opening day of racing in the ILCA 7 fleet at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, Amadi Hendrickson is currently sitting in 15th place after a physically demanding day on the water. The sailing competition is part of the 2026 CAC Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The conditions were exceptionally tough, with strong winds and relentless racing pushing every competitor to their limits. Amadi battled through fatigue and muscle cramps while staying focused throughout the day.
Reflecting on his performance, Amadi shared:
“Overall a good day. My starts could have been better, and my downwinds need more control.”
With more racing ahead, Amadi is determined to build on today’s result and maintain his position in a highly competitive fleet.
