ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA — The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons have finalised their preparations and departed for St. Vincent and the Grenadines ahead of their opening encounter in the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The Falcons kick off the tournament on Friday, August 7, facing off against the newly formed Jamaica Kingsmen at the historic Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown. The match marks a milestone moment as St. Vincent hosts its first-ever CPL fixtures.
Following an intensive four-day training camp at the Liberta Sports Club grounds in Antigua, Head Coach Paul Nixon expressed strong confidence in the squad’s synergy and readiness:
“The value of a camp is enormous—the players and coaches build relationships and trust with each other. Great conversations happen, confidence builds, and players adjust to different surfaces. The camp helps build the foundation of our culture to move forward together.”

Marquee All-Rounders & International Talent: Overseas stars Moeen Ali and Kusal Perera headline the lineup, joining the squad from day one.

Local Powerhouses: Homegrown Antiguan icons Rahkeem Cornwall and Karima Gore anchor the core squad, backed by technical coaching from Assistant Coach Wilden Cornwall and Bowling Coach Sir Curtly Ambrose.
Home Fixtures & Fan Fete Experience
After initial away fixtures in St. Vincent and St. Lucia, the Falcons return to the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua for four home encounters from August 20 to August 25.
Under this season’s campaign slogan, “Come for the Fete. Stay for the Match,” fans can expect an unmatched mix of competitive cricket, live entertainment, and authentic Antiguan culture.
