The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has officially released the approved list of school supplies eligible for purchase under the national Back to School Voucher Programme 2026.
This annual initiative provides direct financial assistance to eligible families, ensuring students across primary and secondary schools have the uniforms, textbooks, and learning supplies they need for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Vouchers can be redeemed at participating authorised bookstores and educational supply vendors nationwide.
APPROVED LISTING OF ELIGIBLE SCHOOL SUPPLIES
1. Uniforms & Footwear
School Uniforms: Pants, shirts, skirts, blouses, jumpers, ties, vests, and school crests
Undergarments: Under vests and plain t-shirts
Socks: Approved school colours
Belts: Standard school belts
Shoes: As approved by the Ministry of Education and private schools (adhering to required colours, design, etc.)
Physical Education: PE shirts and PE pants
2. Textbooks & Reading Materials
Textbooks: As provided on the official Ministry / School-generated Book List
Other Required Books: Dictionaries, Student Companions, Atlases, and age/imagery-appropriate Colouring Books
3. Notebooks & Paper Products
Exercise & Writing Books: Exercise books, penmanship books, graph books
Paper & Binders: Loose-leaf folder paper, graph paper, binders, and plastic sheet covers
4. Writing & Correction Supplies
Pens & Pencils: Standard pens, pencils, highlighters, and markers (including washable markers)
Correction: Erasers, pencil sharpeners, and white-out/correction fluid
5. Art, Craft & Classroom Essentials
Art Supplies: As specified per individual school booklists
Colouring & Painting: Crayons (including Jumbo) and water paints
Adhesives & Cutting: Glue (sticks and liquid) and paper scissors
6. Mathematical & Carrying Equipment
Math Tools: Geometry sets, T-squares, rulers, and calculators
Storage & Organisation: School bags (with or without wheels), pencil cases/pouches, and plastic book covers
Dining: Lunch boxes and lunch kits
GUIDELINES FOR BENEFICIARIES & VENDORS
Approved Items Only: Vouchers are strictly restricted to items detailed on the official approved list. Merchants and beneficiaries are advised that exchanging vouchers for cash or non-approved general retail goods is prohibited.
Identification: Voucher holders must present valid national identification upon redemption at registered retail outlets.
Timely Redemption: Families are encouraged to utilise their vouchers early, before the commencement of the new school term, to ensure full stock availability.
