BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (September 17, 2026) — Highlighting a bright future for football in St. Kitts and Nevis, the St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) has announced a historic milestone for the twin-island federation.
“Our young Sugar Boyz will compete in the inaugural FIFA U-15 Boys World Cup & Festival next month in Azerbaijan. The team has been drawn into Group S alongside the Cayman Islands, Egypt, Iraq, Macau, China, and Trinidad & Tobago,” the SKNFA stated.
SKNFA President Atiba Harris expressed his excitement about this historic opportunity.
“This is what football is all about — bringing people from all walks of life, from all around the world, together through the beautiful game,” Harris said.
“For our young players, this will be much more than just a football tournament. At such a young age, they will have the opportunity to experience different cultures, meet peers from across the globe, represent their country on a global stage, and create life-shaping memories,” Harris added. “This experience will help inspire our young men to grow not only as footballers, but also as positive role models for future generations. The future of the Sugar Boyz is bright.”
