A Splash of Colour as Caribbean Lottery Supports Culturama’s Kore Entertainment

April 5, 2019 – Charlestown, Nevis: Colourful bodysuits and T-shirts were on display at the launch and costume reveal of Culturama’s J’ouvert Long Jam, sponsored by Caribbean Lottery, at Nevis Cultural Development Foundation on April 2, 2019.
Caribbean Lottery is pleased to partner with the dynamic Kore Band for the second year, after the great success of last year’s Long Jam event at Culturama. This year’s event has the slogan: “Love! Passion! Pride! Culturama 45” and will include a Homecoming aspect for Nevisians from the diaspora. The costume packages for men and women are named “Candy Land”. The Kore Band’s J’ouvert Long Jam troupe is the largest at the cultural event, with 350 registered participants.
Speaking at the launch, which was streamed live on Facebook and Instagram, Sabina Harrinarain, Business Development Associate at Caribbean Lottery, observed that the sponsorship “marks our reaffirmation of Caribbean Lottery’s commitment to our native Caribbean culture and tradition. It is a part of who we are.” Ms. Harrinarain added that the Kore Band has a long history, “winning many prizes and awards along the way.” She praised the unique costume designs.
“We saw the way revellers, locals and visitors alike, had a fantastic time with them last year,” added Ms. Harrinarain. “So we knew we had to be a part of the action again this year…After all, the excitement is infectious!”
Culturama’s 45th annual staging will take place from July 26 to August 7, 2019. The Kore J’ouvert Long Jam will hit the road on Monday, August 5.
