Circumstances Investigations indicate that both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions. When they arrived in the vicinity of the Cotton Ground playing field, the side mirrors of both vehicles collided. Mr. Sweeney reportedly failed to stop at the scene of the accident. Ms. Harvey reportedly followed Mr. Sweeney for some time until he eventually came to a stop
