Basseterre, St. Kitts — Acting Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Dr Geoffrey Hanley, on Tuesday, October 7, received His Excellency Enis Xhemaili, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to St. Kitts and Nevis, during a courtesy call.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to reaffirm the friendly relations between St. Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of Kosovo, while exploring opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Acting Prime Minister Hanley welcomed Ambassador Xhemaili to the Federation and expressed the Government’s interest in deepening engagement with Kosovo and identifying areas of cooperation that can deliver practical and sustainable benefits to both countries and their people.
Ambassador Xhemaili conveyed the greetings of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening relations between the two nations. He also expressed his willingness to support initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation and people-to-people connections.
Discussions touched on potential areas for increased collaboration, including education and training, tourism, economic development, and institutional cooperation. Both sides recognised the potential for greater engagement in these and other areas of mutual interest.
The courtesy call underscored the commitment of St. Kitts and Nevis and Kosovo to continued dialogue and cooperation, as both countries seek to build stronger ties and identify new opportunities for partnership.
