Air France and Winair code share on flights from Europe to St Kitts-Nevis

BASSETERRE, St Kitts (CUOPM) — The Federation of St Kitts and Nevis will participate in code-sharing between Air France and the St Maarten-based Windward Islands Airways (Winair).

As a result of an agreement signed in 2003, Air France and Winair will be implementing a commercial code-share agreement between St Maarten / Saint Martin and St Kitts and Nevis as of 16th June 2014.

Air France will therefore expand its offer of services in the region, with flights via St Martin to St Barth’s, Tortola, Saba, St Eustatius, St Kitts and Nevis.

Customers travelling from Europe can access the six destinations served by WINAIR, operated by Twin- Otters with 19 seats and departing from Sint Maarten / Saint Martin.

With a single ticket, Winair and Air France customers can now check in their baggage at their departure city directly to their final destination.

Flying Blue members can earn miles on both airlines’ flights and Air France Business customers connecting on code-share flights with Winair can access the lounge at the St Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport.

“The extension of this partnership offers our customers new travel opportunities in the Caribbean. This agreement confirms our commitment to expand our offer of services and strengthen our presence in the region,” said Christian Oberlé, VP Commercial for Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Latin America at Air France KLM.

“Winair also welcomes our expanded partnership with Air France, a truly global airline. Our code-share agreement now affords our mutual customers seamless transit and connections via the St Maarten hub of Princess Juliana International Airport,” said Michael Cleaver, president and CEO of Winair.
