BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – St. Kitts and Nevis athletes Alexander Caines and Shamarie Newton are in Glasgow, Scotland, where they will proudly represent the Federation in international athletics competition.

Caines is scheduled to compete in the 800 metres, while Newton will line up in the 100 metres, both carrying the nation’s hopes onto one of athletics’ premier stages.

The pair heads into the competition in exceptional form, having produced personal-best performances during an impressive season. Their commitment, discipline, and consistent performances have earned them the opportunity to compete against some of the world’s finest athletes.
