The All-stars stars team leap frogged to an unassailable top spot in the ongoing Youth and Sports Department/Development Bank sponsored, Tape ball Cricket tournament, when they thrashed the Highlights team, on Wednesday evening.
This victory makes them the undisputed leader of the preliminary rounds of matches, as they go to 6 wins and no losses.
On Wednesday night at the ET Willet Park, All stars won the toss and elected to bat first.
Javani Tyson treated the Highlights bowling with disdain. His undefeated half a ton, contained 3 fours and 7 sixes.
This helped the Stars to 109 for 2 in their allotted ten overs.
When the Highlights team batted, they really had no proper response and folded for a mere 39 for 7 in their ten overs.
Truly a one sided affair.
Summarized scores: All Stars 109 for 2 from 10 overs: Javani Tyson 69*; Tijari Clarke 25*
K. Nisbett and T. Mills 1 wicket each
Highlights 39 for 7 from 10 overs: L. Mills 9; N. Southwell 8
Kian Pemberton 2 for 9; Delvon Clarke 2 for 13; Saneldo Willet 1 for 5
All Stars winning by 70 runs

Rawlins batted first and on the back of a scintillating knock by skipper Carlon Smithen, got to a challenging 97 for 3 in 10 overs.

When the Empire team batted, they struggled throughout.
It took all of 9.3 overs for them to overhaul the total but the fact is, they eventually did, with just three balls to spare.
