It ended in a one sided contest as Pennyless All Stars captained by Stuart Williams, engaged Calypso in a second division fixture on Thursday night at the ET Willet Park.
It was interesting to see Merlin Liburd suited up for Calypso and playing against his former club All Stars, while on the other hand, Elroy JIMBO David seemed to run in especially hard with the new ball for All Stars as he bowled against his team of just last year.
Pennyless All Stars batted first and amassed a competitive 154 all out in 19.3 overs led mainly by Orelal, Adolphus and Captain Williams.
When the Calypso team batted, a first ball boundary by Garfield Jeffers off the bowling of Elroy David promised much but JIMBO’s quick response soon trapped him plumb in front, much to his displeasure.
Merlin Liburd, Ernie France and Marvin Hamilton all got into the teens but it was far from sufficient.
