TAIPEI, TAIWAN — St. Kitts and Nevis’ Resident Ambassador to Taiwan, His Excellency Donya L. Francis, was invited to the stage to accompany Principal Shi Zhi-yuan of Guangrong Elementary School in receiving the institution’s award for its participation in this year’s “One Million People, One Million Trees” press conference and recognition ceremony on Monday.
Ambassador Francis joined Hou Yu-ih and other leaders from across cities and counties at the event, which highlighted collective environmental efforts.
The “Plant a Tree for the Earth – One Million People, One Million Trees” initiative encourages public participation in environmental protection through hands-on tree planting, supporting climate action and advancing net-zero carbon emission goals.
Ambassador Francis also participated in Guangrong Elementary School’s tree planting ceremony on March 21.
