BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS— Taiwan’s Resident Ambassador to St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Edward Tao, and St. Kitts and Nevis’ Minister with responsibility for Social Development and Gender Affairs, Senator the Hon. Isalean Phillip, held discussions on the continuation of community-based programmes, including the WEEFI project.
Ambassador Tao hosted Minister Phillip at a working luncheon, during which they explored ways in which Taiwan and the Federation can continue to collaborate in uplifting local communities.
“From senior care to youth empowerment, our shared goals remain clear: building a more inclusive society,” Ambassador Tao said.
A key highlight of the meeting was the discussion of the WEEFI project. “We are proud to see how this #TaiwanICDF initiative has helped institutionalise the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) framework, providing tangible skills and recognition for women across the Federation,” the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) stated.
