Annual Alexander Hamilton Scholarship awards ceremony and Tea Party

Various activities will be held on the island of Nevis and in United States of America on Friday, January 11, 2019 to mark the 262nd birthday of Alexander Hamilton on Friday, January 11, 2019.

Alexander Hamilton, the first US Secretary of the Treasury was born in 1757 on the island of Nevis. Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS) is the custodian of the Alexander Hamilton Museum located on Hunkin’s Drive.

On Friday, January 11, 2019 at 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm, the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society and the Nevis Island Administration’s Community Development will jointly host the Anual Alexander Hamilton Tea Party and Scholarships Awards Ceremony which will be held on the Alexander Hamilton Museum grounds, Hunkins Drive.

Alexander Hamilton Scholarships will be awarded to four new high school students. Fifteen deserving students are currently benefitting from the Fund. This Scholarship Fund was established in 1966 by the Trott Family to assist deserving students with uniforms, books and other school supplies. Tickets to the Tea Party are being sold for EC$25.00 and all proceeds go to the Scholarship Fund.
