Annual Pink Lily Cancer Care Walk Postponed

Charlestown-Nevis-Chief Coordinator of the annual Pink Lily Cancer care walk, Mrs. Lea Parris, revealed on Tuesday that the walk which was previously scheduled to take place on Wednesday 16th September—National heroes’ day, has been unfortunately postponed.

Mrs. Parris apologized for any inconvenience caused but cited the fact that the big day planned to complete registrations for the event, at the Memorial square in Charlestown, became null and void due to persistent inclement weather throughout the day.
The event has now been rescheduled to Saturday 26th September.
She indicated that the route will remain the same as previously advertised:
This year the walk will commence at the Brown Hill bus stop; head into Brown Hill; make a right turn just past the Ivor Walters Primary School; head towards Long Point; make a right turn and head towards Valu Mart; continue onto the Pump Road; onto the bypass road; enter the main road at Pinneys and finally make a left turn to Pinneys beach where the walk will climax in the vicinity of Sunshine’s Beach bar.
The registration fee has also been finalized. Adults will pay$45.00 and children $35.00.
Registered participants will be entitled to a T-shirt and a sumptuous and nourishing breakfast at the end of the walk.
