Antigua and Barbuda PM Gaston Browne Wins Landslide Fourth Term as Labour Party Dominates Election

Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne has secured a decisive fourth term in office following Thursday’s general election, with his ruling Labour Party sweeping to a landslide victory after a campaign focused on economic issues and U.S. visa restrictions.

Preliminary official results indicate the Labour Party won 15 of the 17 seats in parliament, strengthening its already dominant majority. The main opposition United Progressive Party captured just one seat, highlighting the extent of its electoral defeat.
