Antigua & Barbuda Females Beat Nevis in T-20 encounter

The T-20 aspect of the Leeward Islands female cricket tournament was bowled off at the ET Willet Park on Wednesday 26th April.

Host Nevis, faced off with Antigua and Barbuda.

The visitors won the toss and elected to take the first knock.

Two early wickets must have created a stir in their dressing room, but the in-form Amanda Edwards batted superbly and found a willing ally, in Jenisen Richards.

Eventually, Antigua & Barbuda got to a challenging 99 for 8 in their allotted twenty overs.

The home team was doing well, once Melecia Clarke and later Rozel Liburd were at the crease, but Captain Chey-Anne Moses, true to form, ‘parted the red sea,’ picking up those two crucial wickets.

That exposed the long Nevis tail, which managed to wag to 86 for 9.
