Armed Bandits Captured After Robbery in Nevis

Charlestown, Nevis, April 26, 2018 – An armed robbery on Nevis last night reportedly led to the capture of two armed men.

According to sources, armed men pounced on the popular Mem’s Pizzeria located in Church Ground Nevis and robbed the business and patrons of an undisclosed amount of cash and valuables including a worker’s bag with her keys and other valuables. Also two well-known businessmen were made to empty their pockets.

Police who were patrolling in the Brown Hill area were able to capture and arrest two of the robbers.

The Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley later said, “I wish to publicly commend Superintendent Mills and his team of the Nevis Police for apprehending armed bandits who robbed patrons at a local business place tonight. I also wish to commend those in the community who saw something and said something. The rapid response of the Police made this arrest possible. Crime is not unbeatable but we must work together community and Police to beat it. Again congratulations to Superintendent Mills and his team.”
