Armed Robber Denied Bail

The lone individual charged with the armed robbery of Horsford’s Building Centre on Nevis has been denied bail and has been further remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison in St Kitts.

Police Prosecutor Inspector Eurita Collins- Percival confirmed that Shakel Campbell of Craddock Road who was charged for the offence of Armed Robbery was denied bail at the Magistrate Court today, Tuesday, March 14, 2017. However, Campbell can apply for bail at the High Court.

Campbell was charged on March 08, 2017, for the incident that occurred on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the S. L. Horsford’s and Company Ltd. where an armed individual robbed the cashier of an undisclosed amount of money and made their escape through the back door.

Campbell was once an employee of the company.

Campbell’s matter will be heard at the high Court at the later assizes.
