Basseterre, St. Kitts- Peter Oke, a 39 year old Nigerian citizen who resides at Newtown was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Robbery.
The crime was committed on Friday, May 22, 2015 at RAM’S Wholesale Department situated at Bird Rock. On that day, two armed bandits had entered the RAM’S Bird Rock premises pretending to be ‘Jehovah Witnesses’.
Both men made a successful escape however; the entire incident was caught on camera – CCTV.
Since the incident, management of the business establishment had offered an ES$10 000 reward for information in order to arrest both suspects.
In a police press release, the head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Superintendent Smithen took the opportunity on behalf of his department and the entire force to thank all who were instrumental in the investigative process.
