The Maude Cross Preparatory School held its annual sports meet at the Nevis Athletic Stadium on March 13th.
The event was organized under the patronage of Lavion Smithen and Joyelle Phillip, both former student-athletes.
The athletes from three houses, namely Green, Red, and Gold, participated in various races.
Some of the races included 100, 60, 150, 200, 400, 800, 1200 meters, 4×100 and 4×200 meters relays.
The competition was fierce, and several records were broken during the event.
At the end of the day, Green House emerged as the champions, successfully defending their trophy. After the 200-meter race, the scores were as follows: Green House – 211, Red House – 196, and Gold House – 192.
