Excitement is building for the Gulf Insurance Interprimary School Championship, which takes place today, Wednesday, April 1.
On Tuesday, March 31, a press briefing was held at the Malcolm Guishard Park, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling day of competition.
The proceedings were confidently chaired by the youthful Rajaun Fyfield, who guided the event smoothly. Representatives from all ten participating schools were formally introduced, highlighting the wide participation and competitive spirit expected at the championship.
Brief remarks were delivered by Nichola Fraser, who provided an overview of the event, as well as Sheldon Edwards, representing the main sponsor, Gulf Insurance. Also addressing the gathering was Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports, Zahnela Claxton.
The event concluded on a lively note, as Education Officer Terenz Wallace-Warner engaged several student-athletes in brief interviews, capturing their thoughts, excitement, and expectations ahead of the highly anticipated meet.
