The Nevis Academy launched what promises to be a busy and exciting athletics term by hosting the first road run of 2026, a cross-country relay, on Friday, January 9.
The event featured two races, one for female athletes and the other for male athletes, with both races contested over the same challenging course. The route began at the school, turned right by the cemetery, continued through Farms, onto the Long Point Road, past Valu Mart, then onto the main road before returning to the school grounds.
Students demonstrated strong endurance, teamwork, and competitive spirit as the houses battled for early bragging rights in the new sports year.
