BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — The St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee proudly announces the Federation’s national delegation to the historic Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, scheduled for October 31 to November 13, 2026, in Senegal.

As the first Olympic event to be hosted on African soil, Dakar 2026 represents a historic milestone for the Olympic Movement, bringing together more than 2,500 talented young athletes, ages 14 to 17, from around the world. Representing St. Kitts and Nevis on this prestigious international stage will be rising track and field star Khylinn Prentice.

A dedicated student of Gingerland Secondary School and an outstanding athlete with Phase Track Club, 15-year-old Prentice has steadily established herself as one of the Federation’s promising young talents. Her impressive performances at regional and international competitions, including the CARIFTA Games and NACAC Championships, have demonstrated her determination, discipline, and competitive ability.

At the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium, Prentice has continued to showcase her exceptional speed, recording a personal best of 11.89 seconds in the 100 metres and reinforcing her status as a rising force in Caribbean athletics.

Providing on-ground support and guidance to the young athlete in Senegal will be Ms Grace Maritza Dias, while the delegation will be led by Chef de Mission Mr Lonzo Wilkinson. Team SKN is scheduled to depart the Federation on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, with the full support and encouragement of the nation.

“We are immensely proud to see Khylinn earn the opportunity to compete among the world’s best young athletes in Dakar,” said Mr. Wilkinson. “Her dedication, talent, and discipline embody the qualities we celebrate in sport and reflect the tremendous potential of our young people. We are confident that she will represent Saint Kitts and Nevis with pride and distinction.”

The St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee invites the entire Federation to join in supporting Team SKN as Khylinn Prentice takes to the track in Dakar, carrying the national flag and the hopes of a proud nation.

The Federation stands united behind Khylinn as she embraces this extraordinary opportunity to compete, inspire, and make history on the world stage.
