NEVIS DISASTER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
LOCAL PREPARATORY ACTIONS:
The Nevis Disaster Committee met and discussed priority preparatory actions that would be implemented should the island of Nevis is adversely impacted. Likewise a meeting was held with the District Chairpersons and Emergency Shelters Managers regarding preparations at the Community Level.
The Federal Government has indicated that the Public Sector will be shut down on Monday (August24) and is encouraging the Private Sector to do the same as the Federation braces for the impact of TS Danny
