Autopsy confirms that Hickman's resident was shot

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Stephen Jones performed a post mortem examination on the body of 65 year old Cedric Randolph Butler of Hickman’s Village on Saturday, January 4, 2014.

The autopsy confirmed that his cause of death was due to gunshot injury.

On Friday, December 27, 2013 the body of the deceased was discovered lying motionless outside of the back door of his resident sometime minutes to 7:00 a.m. by a female.

Villagers said they heard what sounded to be gunshots sometime after 2:00 a.m. that morning.

It is alleged that Butler was shot in his chest and his attackers(s) thereafter allegedly tried to burn his body.

His gruesome death marked the tenth murder for 2013 on the island of Nevis.

The burial service of the deceased is scheduled to take place today Monday, January 06, 2014 from 2:45 p.m. at the Eden Brown Church of God (EBCOG) at Butlers Village.
