Bandits caught with illegal weapons and stolen goods

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- This media house has learnt that over the past weekend two young men were charged with a number of serious offenses including possession of firearm and ammunition.

It is reported that Dion Walters of Stoney Grove and Gavin Herbert of Bath Village were both formally charged for the offenses of building breaking and larceny, burglary, possession of firearm and possession of ammunition, which were committed at Cedar Trees, Charlestown.

The offenses is said to have been committed on Sunday, December 22, 2013. According to information received, police officers stopped and searched the defendants and while executing their search officers found illegal weapons along with other stolen goods.

Both men were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
