Barbados Cop the Double as They Are Crowned CWI T20 Blaze Champions

Barbados are the 2023 Cricket West Indies T20 Blaze champions after they defeated the Leeward Islands by 8 wickets in round 5 at Warner Park. They completed the double this season as they also won the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup.

Batting first, the Leewards posted 121/5 from their 20 overs, Divya Saxena top-scored with 33 not out while Rozel Liburd added 20. Fourteen year-old Theanny Herbert-Mayers was Barbados’ best bowler, finishing with figures of 4-0-12-2.

Kycia Knight carried her bat for Barbados to take her team on a clean-sweep of titles, as she finished on 63 not out from 59 deliveries. Aaliyah Alleyne made 32 before she was trapped LBW by Amanda Edwards.
