Barbados Pride and Guyana Harpy Eagles Hold Advantage in West Indies Championship Matches

West Indies — April 2026: Two West Indies Championship matches currently in progress are producing competitive cricket, with Barbados Pride and Guyana Harpy Eagles gaining the upper hand in their respective encounters.

At Spanish Town, Jamaica, Barbados Pride are in a strong position against the Jamaica Scorpions. The Scorpions were bowled out for 342 in their first innings after batting for 112.4 overs. Barbados Pride responded with an impressive 348 in 81.4 overs to secure a narrow first-innings lead.

Continuing their push for control, Barbados Pride have advanced to 255 for 5 in their second innings after 71 overs, extending their overall lead and putting pressure on the Jamaican side heading deeper into the match.

Meanwhile, at North Sound, Antigua, the Guyana Harpy Eagles are also in a promising position against the Windward Islands Volcanoes.

The Volcanoes posted 286 in their first innings before Guyana replied with 264, conceding a small deficit. However, the Windward Islands were dismissed for 209 in their second innings, setting Guyana a modest target.

In their chase, the Harpy Eagles have moved to 38 for 1 after 14 overs, placing them in a comfortable position as they look to secure victory.
