From the outset, it was obvious that the Barbados Pride team was going to be a force to be reckoned with, as they engaged the Leewards Hurricanes at the Warner Park Cricket stadium.
The match was played between Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March.
The Leewards batted first, but even after an enterprising start by former Windies opener, Kieran Powell, it was clear that the Bajan speedsters were going to be a handful, on the normally placid Warner Park track.
Kemar Roach picked off the edges for two of the batsmen to be caught at slip and then Miguel Cummins sent the off stump of Orlando Peters cart wheeling in spectacular fashion.
By the time, Powell was dubiously sent caught behind; the Leewards appeared to have given up the ghost. They were bowled out for a paltry 119.
The Barbadians then batted solidly, led by Shane Dowrich, who just fell short of a well deserved ton.
The Leewards made a better response in their second turn at crease but were not even good enough to avoid an innings defeat.
Summarized scores: Leewards Hurricanes: 119 all out: Jahmar Hamilton 42; Kieran Powell 33
Jomel Warrican 3 for 33; Kemar Roach 2 for 21 and Miguel Cummins 2 for 30

Leewards Hurricanes: 224 all out: Orlando Peters 60; Jahmar Hamilton 33; Jeremiah Louis 26
Jomel Warrican 6 for 102
