‘Bascy’ is fully confident that the STPS will be victorious in today’s primary school ‘Mini Olympics’

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Carlisle Davis, popularly known as ‘Bascy’ of Cotton Ground and who proclaims to be the number one supporter of the St. Thomas’ Primary School, (STPS), is confident that the school will take home the Gulf Insurance Primary Schools ‘Mini Olympics’ championship scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Elquemedo Tonito Willet Park, Charlestown.

‘Bascy’ told this media house that he has observed all of the athletes as they trained, and he is certain that the reigning champions, the Charlestown Primary School (CPS) will be defeated by the STPS. He was also confident that a number of records will be broken by some of the athletes from the STPS.

The unabashed, ‘number one’ supporter of the STPS has shown his true support to his beloved school by decorating his passenger bus in green, the designated colour for the STPS.

This primary school championship meet is always highly competitive. It is filled with fierce competition with competitors from every primary school from all four corners of the island. The event allows the top athletes of the primary schools in Nevis to display their talents as well as to compete against each other.

This year marks the 34th edition of what is dubbed, the biggest annual event in Nevis.
