Bath United Football Club Honours Mothers

The junior players of the Bath United Football Club, took time out to honour their mothers and respective guardians at a moving ceremony, held at the Bath Village playing field on Sunday 13th May.

The mothers and other significant guardians of the young players, showed up for the Mothers’ day special treat, organized by Coach Alex Claxton.

Each mother was presented a rose by their son or child in their care and for those mothers who were absent, the players were given the roses to be presented at home.

Some of the players seemed shy but were heard telling the significant women in their lives that they love them and actually hugged them, while presenting the roses.

It was certainly a touching sight and one that was truly appreciated by the mothers on hand.

After the ceremony, the mothers were given yet another treat, as they were able to witness their sons playing in an actual match situation, as the under 17 team, engaged the more senior Bath United club players, in a friendly encounter.
