CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — The Bath United Football Club officially launched its highly anticipated Blackett/Pemberton Series on Sunday, August 9, at the ET Willett Park. The league brings together four competitive teams featuring talent from Bath United alongside top players from across the island to honour former club stalwart Paul Pemberton and the late Lester Blackett.
Opening night delivered thrilling, action-packed football, setting a high standard for the rest of the tournament:
Game 1: Over the Top edged out Showtime in a hard-fought encounter, securing a 1–0 victory. Gevonie Phillip was named Player of the Match for his decisive performance.
Game 2: South Stars battled past Sunrise FC to claim a tight 2–1 win. Hassan Harvey earned Player of the Match honours for his stellar display on the pitch.
The action resumes this week with two high-stakes matchups scheduled for Thursday evening.
