Action continued in the Village Premier league (VPL) on Sunday 19th March, at the Hard Times playing field.
Match one was not played as scheduled, as the Fire Hall team was a no show for their match versus a charged up Ole Skool team. However, the Ole Skoolers got two teams together and played an exciting friendly match.
In the feature match of the day, Beaters came up against Poodle Bar and there was quite some chatter and friendly exchanges between the players, to add to the excitement.
Poodle Bar batted first and got to 86 on the back of a hard hitting 57 by Captain Hanley.
However, when the Beaters team batted, they wasted little time in getting to the target, with Adelvin Phillip blazing his way to a man of the match performance with a round half century.
