The first Atlantic hurricane for 2018, Beryl, has become a category one storm, which is expected to quickly weaken by late Saturday, according to meteorological forecasts.
The Saint Lucia Meteorological Services announced that all interests in Saint Lucia and the Lesser Antilles should monitor the weather system.
The Met Services reported that at 5:AM Friday, the centre of Beryl was located near 10.6 North Longitude, 45.1 West or about 1098 miles or 1767 East South-East of Saint Lucia.
