The first match of the 2016 second division Cricket league, got on the way at the ET Willett Park on Wednesday 7th September.
Big Rock engaged arch rivals SDA Jets, on a grassy looking track and having won the toss opted to bowl first.
The Jets were off to a poor start with Curtis Morton Sr going in the first over, caught off the bowling of Elroy JIMBO David for a golden duck.
However, Wasim BOM-BOOM Mintos and Edison Parris, helped to bring some semblance of respectability to the total.
Parris in particular was in punishing form and struck a few lovely looking boundaries and one huge maximum into the Villa grounds.
Jets were eventually bowled out for 91, playing with only nine men.
Big Rock in response were also off to a poor start, when big hitting Carlos Adolphus was bowled neck and crop by Wasim Mintos in the first over, for a duck.
However, Rakeesh and Alvin steadied the ship and brought their team home, to seal the match.
