Charlestown, Nevis — The St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA), in collaboration with the Departments of Education and Sports on Nevis, has successfully launched the CONCACAF Bigger Game Academy, marking an important step forward in the continued development of football coaches and young players on the island.
The two-day initiative commenced on September 11, 2026, with an intensive, full-day capacity-building course for coaches. A total of 28 coaches participated in the training, gaining exposure to the philosophy, methodology and practical execution of the Bigger Game Academy programme.
The initiative continued on September 12 with a vibrant Bigger Game Academy Festival at the Ramsbury Play Field in Charlestown. More than 100 children took part in a range of fun, engaging and development-focused football activities facilitated by CONCACAF personnel in partnership with local coaches.
The festival provided young participants with an opportunity to develop their football skills in an enjoyable and supportive environment, while encouraging teamwork, creativity, confidence and a love for the game.
The Departments of Education and Sports on Nevis extend sincere appreciation to the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association and CONCACAF for bringing this valuable initiative to Nevis and for their continued commitment to football development.
The Bigger Game Academy represents a meaningful investment in the island’s sporting future.
