Bloody Easter Weekend in Nevis

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- It was a bloody weekend for the residents of Nevis, after a popular shop keeper was allegedly murdered; and another individual was stabbed during the Easter weekend celebrations.

Dead is 64 year old Hueluo Pableto Hanley of Fountain Village. This media house understands that on Monday, April 6, 2015 at about 6: 20 a.m. the lifeless body of the community businessman was found at the bottom of his steps at his home. Hanley, who is also known as ‘Pabby’ operated a shop in Fountain Village.

During police investigations it was revealed that the deceased received what appeared to be a bullet wound to his head. However, a post mortem will be conducted to determine the actual cause of death.

Nevispages spoke to residents of the small community who all are saddened and appalled by the death of ‘Pabby’. They described him as a kind and generous person. The villagers are of the opinion that his death was a result of robbery.

Meanwhile, Alwin Douglas is being treated at the Alexandra Hospital for a stabbed wound after a knife was lodged in his back at Pinney’s Beach on Sunday, (April 5).

Douglas is said to have been robbed of his gold chain and was stabbed in the process.

Investigations into both matters continue.
