The Bring It swim team (a partner of Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center), run and led by Coach James Weekes, participated in the Blue Marlin Swimming Academy’s Easter Monday Swim Competition at Bird Rock in St Kitts.
Four clubs participated: St Kitts and Nevis Safaris Swimming Academy, Paradise Inn Swimming Academy, Blue Marlin Swim Academy and the Bring It Swim Team. (Bring it being the only club from Nevis).
Approximately 40 children competed in 25m freestyle, 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke races in a 25m in-water pool.
This was the first-ever Swim Competition of this nature and gave the children a taste of what competitive swimming would be like, as swimming continues to develop in the Federation.
Blue Marlin Swimming Academy did an excellent job hosting and the event ran very well.
Bring It came home with the trophy as the best club with all swimmers performing in an exemplary fashion.
