Bring the Beat this Summer With Digicel Extra Data, Free Social Media & Scholarships Being Offered

Basseterre, St. Kitts – (July 29, 2016) – Digicel St. Kitts-Nevis has rolled out its 2016 Summer Promotion and it promises to fulfil the expectations of customers with bigger and better value!

For the months of July and August, Digicel will be “bringing the beat” with a Data and Scholarship Campaign for its valued mobile subscribers. Prepaid customers will receive extra data or free social media on select 4G data plans for Smartphone users.

Free Social Media otherwise known as “WFIT” gives customers access to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for free. Data plans with WFIT allow you to use these apps for free – meaning, your data will not be touched once you are active on these platforms.

For customers who prefer plans with additional data for internet browsing, the extra allotment and free social media breakdown is as follows:

Plan

Extra Data Price
3 day 300MB 200MB $9.00
7 day 600MB WFIT $16.00
7 day 1GB 250MB $24.00
14 day 1GB WFIT $30.00
30 day 1GB 300MB $35.00
30 day 2GB WFIT $50.00
30 day 3GB 350MB $70.00

All prepaid customers must dial *141# to activate a data plan to benefit from this unbeatable offer, available only for a limited time.

In addition to the extra data and free social media plans, Digicel will also be giving away two $500 scholarships during our summer promotion to two high school students in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Any enrolled student who purchases a DL810 handset up to the end of August or while stocks last during the Summer promotion, will be eligible for the scholarships. Student IDs must be shown and a parent or guardian must be present for the purchasing of the handset. The DL810 is regularly priced at $345 but will be available for $99 (plus vat) during our summer promotion, specifically for students.

At the end of the campaign, two Digicel winners will be randomly selected and presented with these scholarships for their back to school purchases.

Digicel Marketing Manager, Marsha Chatterjee, commented on the Bring the Beat Summer campaign; “At Digicel, we are aware that Summer means plenty of free time for students to be on Smartphones- whether it is watching YouTube videos, posting Summer vacation pictures on Facebook or playing Pokemon-Go, slashing the price of the DL810 phone would make purchasing a Smartphone very affordable for our youths. Additionally, all prepaid customers can enjoy up to 350MB of extra data at the usual price of our data plans.”
