Budding Cricketers Meet Windies Heroes

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (WICB) — Aspiring young cricketers from the Digicel Harvard Cricket School got a lifetime opportunity on June 19, at the 4th day of the West Indies vs new Zealand Test Match when they met some of their cricket icons and some of the current players!

Just before the action began at the Queen’s Park Oval, the cricketers made the time to greet the youngsters and give them nuggets of advice on the game.

Veterans, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Richie Richardson, Stuart Williams and current players Jason Holder, Leon Johnson and Kraigg Brathwaite were among those who gladly spent shared their experiences with the upcoming sportsmen.

Meanwhile the little ones in turn were in awe of the cricketers who towered over them, with some expressing their delight to meet them and their hope to follow in their footsteps in the future.
