It may be considered an upset of sorts, but Canada under 19 enjoyed a convincing victory over their Leeward Islands counterparts on Tuesday 28th July. This as the regional under 19 tournament continued.

Canada batted first and posted a competitive 216 all out and the Leewards, despite a few of their top batsmen getting starts, were bowled out for 169.

The good news is that Ross Powell finally found some semblance of form, before he was stumped on 40.

Summarized scores: Canada: 216 all out in 42 overs: Abraash Khan 79; Kurt Ramdath 28; Miraj Patel 27; Sarbjot Singh 21

Alzarri Joseph 3 for 56; Keacey Carty 2 for 24

Leewards: 169 all out in 38.2 overs: Kofi James 41; Ross Powell 40; Keacy Carty 29Cameron Pennyfeather 23
