CARL TUCKETT-MOVING ON UP

Former Nevis, Leeward Islands and West Indies all-rounder, Carl Tuckett who is now a qualified regional umpire, continues to make strides to the ultimate top, in his chosen career.

Tuckett is currently officiating in the 2016 ICC world Cricket league Division four.

 The 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Four is an international limited-overs cricket tournament that is currently being held in Los Angeles from October 29 to November 5, 2016. The tournament, the fifth edition of WCL Division Four, forms part of the qualification process for the 2019 World Cup in England, with the top two teams to be promoted to the 2017 Division three tournament. The bottom two teams will be relegated to Division Five.

It was reported in February 2016 that the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) was exploring a potential bid to host the tournament in Los Angeles. In April 2016, the ICC confirmed that the tournament would take place in Los Angeles, with all matches to be played at the Leo Magnus Cricket Complex. It will be the first time a World Cricket League tournament has been played in the United States.

The teams involved are: The United States; Bermuda; Denmark; Jersey; Italy and Oman.

Results of matches played so far:

October 29th-Bermuda 201 in 48.3 overs; United States 202 for 2 in 32.4 overs. United States won by 8 wickets.

Denmark 214 for 8 in 50 overs; Italy 100 all out in 21.1 overs. Denmark won by 114 runs

Jersey 203 for 5 in 50 overs; Oman 204 for 4 in 46.4 overs. Oman won by 6 wickets.

October 30th –Bermuda 173 for 9 from 40 overs; Oman 174 for 6 from 34 overs. Oman won by 4 wickets

Jersey 158 all out in 36.4 overs; Denmark 159 for 4 in 32.1 overs. Denmark won by 6 wickets

Italy 185 for 5 in 41 overs; United States 186 for 9 in 37.2 overs

1st November-Bermuda 221 for 7 in 50 overs; Denmark 183 all out in 48.1 overs. Bermuda won by 38 runs

Italy 235 all out in 49.5 overs; Jersey 236 for 7 in 49.3 overs.  Jersey won by 3 wickets.

Oma 163 all out in 49.3 overs; United States 165 for 2 in 29.3 overs

Immediately after his current assignment, Tuckett flies back to the federation to take up his next assignment when he will be officiating at the Warner Park Cricket stadium, alongside Joel Wilson, in a regional encounter, which will see, home team, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, take on the Barbados Pride from Friday 11th to Monday 14th November.
