Cayon High Defeats GSS

The Gingerland Secondary School cricketers would have only themselves to blame, for a loss to the Cayon High School’s team, as the Federation’s High Schools’ cricket tournament continued on Monday 25th March.
The Cayon team batted first and scored an impressive 222 from their allotted 30 overs.
Ronald Williams top scored with 64 and Tijani Stevens got 25.
For the GSS team, Kishawn Hobson got 3 wickets for 31 runs; Jevon Manners 1 for 23 and Kimani Nisbett 1 for 29.
GSS in response, got to their best total for the tournament so far -147 all out in 22 overs.
Peter Charles top scored with35; Reon Solomon slammed 33 and Tyrel Mills stroked 21.
For the Cayon team, Tijani Stevens bagged 4 wickets and there were 2 wickets each for Kishawn Fahie; Curwin Skeete and Cody Lowry.
Cayon won by 75 runs but the GSS players must be kicking themselves silly, as they conceded all of 98 extras when they fielded—62 wides; 12 byes and 12 leg byes!
